RiME doesn't really have anything that sets it apart in the Adventure Puzzle genre. It isn't bad, it's just not unique, and for me that makes it boring. RiME sticks to the tried and true open exploration, parkour climbing, moving blocks onto switches, hidden collectibles, and dramatic music. Several settings and scenes in the game reminded me of ICO, Zelda, Journey, and Never Alone. There isn't really a story, and what little story there is doesn't really flow from level to level. I explored much of the earlier worlds and found most of the collectibles, but I stopped doing this halfway through the game when I realized I was just arbitrarily lengthening game time, and not in any way that was enjoyable. RiME just doesn't make it fun to go find these items. I experienced several graphical glitches of clipping and framerate drops. After reading a few reviews, it turns out this is a common problem even with high-end graphics cards. Essentially, RiME is just a pretty game you've already experienced elsewhere.
