There are some new ideas in this game compared to Wolf3D but when it comes to playability and atmosphere it's nowhere near. The impossibility to circle strafe just sucks.
Only downside of this game is, that it robs so many hours of your life.
If you can tolerate the graphics, this one has very deep story and interesting game mechanics.
Perhaps my all time favorite. Very balanced and atmospheric game.
