This game is nothing short of a masterpiece. The terrain you navigate and explore through is just as interconnected as the story. The characters, writing, voice acting, presentation, moment to moment game play, are all top notch. If I had to pick one aspect of this game as my favorite, it would have to be the freedom and agency the player has to pull off 'dnd shennanigans' in game, and it just kinda works. There are so many ways to solve problems, and when you pull something really far out there off it feels just so good. Is the game perfect? Of course not. There are still some bugs that need to be and are being addressed. There could be some quality of life changes to be made for sure, and based off of Larians track record (see Enhanced and Definitive Edition for OS1 and 2) they will definitely be coming in the future. I would imagine that the games turn based nature may be a turn off for more classic crpg fans, even fans of the previous two BG games, but the turn based combat is great on its own merits. This game is a must buy for fans of the yesteryears RPGs, this is going to be a must buy.
