This was a game I enjoyed reading, like a good book. It has one of most interesting story-lines I've seen in a long time. The dark cyberpunk mood is deliciously enhanced by a very good design, including music, colours, careful writing, etc. You really feel like you want to read what the characters are saying. Good characters have unique manners of saying things, or things only they would say; you can recognize them in a book without the writer having to tell you who is speaking. This is often not the case in games. Game designers probably imagine that, just because you can see the character portrait next to the lines, they don't need to make their characters distinguishable, unique or quirky (this is the case in all bad and boring games). A great combat system and visuals don't make boring games interesting. Those things become repetitive and boring very soon. You cease noticing how cool the monsters look after wiping out a few waves. You get tired, and you forget the game. A really unforgettable game (think of Baldur's Gate or Fallout) makes you feel you are there, speaking with those characters. It is memorable because you experience it like a book. This game does that wonderfully. I'd love to see an Italian, French, Portuguese or German version. Games should not be just a way to waste time. They can be a great way to practice and learn foreign languages, specially when they have an enjoyable story and memorable characters, like this one.
