Mad Max is a very enjoyable game. The open world gameplay aspects are great, upgrading the magnum opus is a treat, and the story is believably Mad Max inspired. Luckily the setting is very clearly fictional - a food crisis and fuel crisis happening at the same time, yeah right!
This is an excellent point and click adventure game, with everything to recommend it. The atmosphere is dark and rich, the graphics are characterful, the voice acting is excellent. If you like point and click adventure games, or story rich atmospheric games, this is for you.
This is, again, an excellent port of a PS3 game. Much like the first this strategy JRPG is more story driven than gameplay driven, so if you enjoyed the first this is a no-brainer. It has fewer generations than the first, which is unfortunate, but is still a hefty amount of content.
This game surprised me. With the loneliness of scavenging for meagre supplies, the slow build up of the cast of characters, and the constant threat of Bad Things Happening, what hit me first was that the combat music reminded me of Silent Hill 2. Second thing was how fun it is to set up fights between different factions. Having zombies maul competing survivalists was good fun.
I played this on the PS3 and highly enjoyed it. This is a perfect port. The combat is simple, but the story is exceptional. As per the name, it deals with multiple generations as part of a larger narrative. At the end of a generation, you choose which companion to have a child with, who will be the protagonist of the next generation, and each of these protagonists have their own personalities and motivations. For the PC mouse controls and resolution options have been included, which is great. Recommended if you're a fan of story driven, lengthy RPGs.
