TD:DR Don't buy. The game has many bugs and some gameplay elements that are badly worked out. Encountered bugs: 1: I will start with the biggest bug that i encountered. During chapter 5 i got an fatal error bug. Tried to change video settings, restarted the game but every time on the same position i got an fatal error and the game crashed. I got this fixed by restarting the previous section, play that fully and then when i got to the section with the fatal error i finally got through. 2: There are quick-time events where you have to press a button while moving forward yourself. Sometimes when you fail and have to do this again you can get a bug that the quick-time promp is not shown and also can't do this action. I got this fixed by restarting the game and play again from the last save point. 3: In 1 of the last quick-time follow events i could take an different route then the dev's wanted you to go and got soft lock. Bad quick time events gameplay: 1: The game play is mostly straight forward but some moments during quick time events it is not logic or doesn't work correct. Sometimes you have to press space for jumping over something and the next time you suddenly you have to press E, Same with squizing through a small area instead of Q you suddenly need to press E. 2: The camera during some chase quick-time events, for example you are running towards the camera instead of the camera following you. This makes it that an object suddenly appearce and you have to quickly press the right button. 3: Some quick-time event buttons only show when you are in the correct area which means that you are running towards an object and at the last second get to see which button you have to press and don't have time for it. So you have to redo it and now you know where you have to press which button. Another example is when you stand on a pillar and have 2 spots to jump to and you have to turn the camera all the way to finally select the other spot to jump to
When you had a hard day at work you can relax with this game. Take your time listen to good background music and watch the nice graphics. It's simple to start the game, but there are is also some indepth thinking for the people who want to get the most out of there tiles.
Have played chapter 1 only and so far it is a really good classic game. Love the dialog, scene's and characters so far. Only problem i had was that the cutscenes where cropped on the side. i fixed this by playing the game in window mode and to get that working you need to open de game dir and start the configTool.exe and there you can change some setting's which are not available ingame.
Years ago i was in love with the commando's and desperado's games because they are such good games. When i saw this game i really looked forward to it, but was also sceptical because it has been years since such a game was made and i played such a game. But Mimimi did a super job with this game. The gameplay and mechanics are just like those old games and still work great in this modern time. Grafisch are super i was stunned on how well the locations looked. The whole look and feel was so good i really liked the art and the music and it all fits together. I played the game with japanese voices and english subtitles, because i felled it should be played that way and i loved it. This is a must buy in my eyes
Years ago i was in love with the commando's games because they are such good games. Then there was the Desperado's games which was simular but then with a western style. I played Shadow tactics which is also made by Mimimi and i loved that game, because they really looked at the Commando's and Desperado's from way back then. Because it was so good when i heard they where making Desperados 3 i know it would be an instant buy and i got to say after playing the main game i was not disappointed. Once again they have made a game with great gameplay, good characters and story. Visually they game looks stunning. So if you loved the commando's and desperado's game or like a tactical eagle eye game then this is a must buy
