I love the game and played almost 4,5h on the first run. Very relacing and cute. The only downside seems to be the optimisation. On my i7 6700k with 1070gtx CPU is around 60-70% and GPU constantly over 70-90% in menu alone (lol?). This seems very daramatic for such a game.
This game should have been the remake of the year. But its just horrible bugged right now. And I cannot recommend it to any fan of the original game. Pro: I looks exactly like it did back in 2003 but in HD. Contra: - a non functioning anti aliasing option - The Sound is terrible, voices get loud and super quiet for no reason - Aiming feels slow and very unprecise - enormous system requirements and constant fps breaks even on good gaming rigs - animations are super slow, everything takes forever to engage - game breaking bugs like auto saves right before alarms get triggered or a door that wont open anymore after you reload the last checkpoint. Overall the whole game feels like a copy of the old one, but it wasnt enough time to achive the same quality.
I know it probably sounds dumb but this game changed so much for me. The way CDPR ist telling Geralds and Ciris Story brings tears to my eyes everytime I play it. I havent enjoyed any Game in the last decate as much as this. Ich have 300h + on it and playing it through at least once a year. The mod support is amazing and brings new joy and things to discover on a regular basis. It also changed my perspective on things in real life. Like whats really important. You have a lot of choices in this game, so many that even the devs cannot know how many possibilities are even possible. I can't stress this enough, THIS IS THE GREATEST GAME OF OUR GENERATION.
I haven't been through the whole story while writing this but I have to say this is much more than I thought. I am not really fond of card games, so I never really enjoyed the Gwent part of W3 neither. But the way CDPR crafted the story around this game is astonishing. Every game is different, a lot of special rules where you have to puzzle your way out of the match. It's really fun and the story telling reminds me of audio narrated comics. Incredible well done. I am half through and got almost 30h gametime already!
