The game is very enjoyable, and you can easily spend many hours playing it. Unfortunately the versions on GOG are out of date (0.8.1 dated 11/2021 on Linux and 0.8.3 dated 02/2022 on Windows). Looking at the blog, they're at version 0.8.11... I've already filed a support ticket, contact the developer's facebook page. I don't recommend it at the moment.
