I've been playing modded versions of Bethesda games since Morrowind and this is literally the most impressive mod that I've ever seen. It's actually easier to think of it as a brand new Fallout game rather than just as a conversion mod. It certainly feels like a new Fallout game as you play it. IMO it's well worth playing and even repurchasing FO4 on GOG even if you already own it. Mega kudos to the modders that put this gem together.
Pacific Assault, while not as polished as Allied Assault was, is still a great WWII shooter from the golden age of WWII media (early 2000s). It was a time when we were blessed to see the likes of Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, and many more media adventures honoring WWII veterans and the sacrifices they made. Pacific Assault is a good one and I highly recommend it. It deserves much more praise than it ever received.
If you were a teenager or college student in 2002, you very likely played this game...a lot. It's a gem and a great trip down memory lane. That said, even if you never played it before, the story is pretty good and gameplay is solid. I highly recommend giving it a try.
If you are a fan of the original movie, this is worth picking up. Otherwise, you might want to wait for a sale. It's a passable RTS I guess, as long as you don't mind the lack of base building. I was hoping to have the ability to make my own forts to defend against an onslaught of bugs but all you get is the campaign, which doesn't let you build bases and harvest resources like I was hoping. And there's no instant action mode, which is a real bummer.
Oblivion is an excellent game out of the box, no doubt, but if you use the right mods, it's amazing. There are mods that improve the graphics, improve the gameplay, and add more life to the gameworld. It does take some effort and research to find the best mods and sometimes to get them working properly,. but the modding community has provided a lot of resources when you go to nexusmods.com. In any case, if you have played Skyrim and want more, give Oblivion a try. It's well worth it.
This ranks right up there with Skyrim for me. I love open world medieval RPGs and KCD fits the bill nicely. Sure, there aren't dragons or other fantasy creatures, but it definitely let's you get lost in a more realistic historical setting. I highly recommend it.
