It made my day to learn that this title is now available on GOG. I was not expecting this. Diablo is one of my favourite games. Hopefully, this means that more classic Blizzard titles will be coming to GOG, as well. I do think the price is high, but this title holds a special place in my heart. Compared to modern games, the controls and some of the core mechanics may feel dated, but this remains a solid title that provides replayability and smiles. This was a landmark release and I think it still has a place in today's gaming landscape. It has a different feel than it's sequels (which I also enjoy, although, unlike others, Diablo 2 is my least favorite of the three) and I can't wait to get back into it.

A broken unfinished mess abandoned by the developers, reportedly with updates on other services, such as Steam, that weren't pushed to GOG. After reading an article on Rock, Paper, Shotgun, I KickStarted this title. I regret being an early supporter. The core engine appears to be broken (opinion from myself and other developers) and rather than rewrite it, they created a large misshapen band-aid ball. To add insult to injury, the developer of Terraria (the company is Re-Logic), one of my favorite games, decided to publish and endorse this title. The icing on the cake: As this awful title hobbled along, an announcement came from Re-Logic for Pixel Privateers, a new title in development. As an apology to owners, an "enhanced edition" was released "for free" - Really?!? What?!? The game is broken. It was not fixed. It isn't possible to fix this title without rewriting the engine, which I imagine is what they did for their next title. What an awful mess... and this also really lowered my opinion on Re-Logic, as well. My opinion - Avoid this title and consider avoiding the developers, whatever they may do. As always, YMMV.
