So far, doesn't work in Win 8.1 despite doing the video trick which is mentioned on several websites to solve the initial launch crash due to antiquated codecs... Any ideas to solve this issue? The game launches a bit more, but still crashes before any videos are visible, and any main menus are shown... :(
Having to resort to forums and walkthroughs in an adventure game really tends to kill the immersion. Finding out that you figured out the puzzle but didn't click on this before that is annoying. Being blocked for not finding an object is no fun, when movements are that clunky and dialogues that inane. Being still blocked even with a walkthrough is a full-range deal breaker. I gave up on the game half-way and watched the rest on Youtube. I enjoyed the story but was deeply disappointed in the gameplay, bugs galore and poor character development.
