Kenshi

Great potential; plays like beta version

I almost returned this game; if it weren't for the tiny number of developers, I would have. I have a great deal of 'hope' for this title, and perhaps in the future we will see some optimization that leads to significantly less lag. Path-finding is HORRIBLE; can't count the times I've been engaged in combat because one of my characters gets stuck on a tree. Path-finding requires tedious micromanagement. Graphics were dated a decade ago, but the art design is interesting. Neat features include the levelling system idea, but could use (like the rest of the game) a great deal more polish and balance. Character development would be much more fun if they had real personalities and more than half a dozen things to say. The open world sandbox is fun, but lacks any compelling story, only hints thereof. Can become repetitive in the late game. I'd recommend this game for those who's expectations are aligned with reality. I sincerely hope that the developers continue to iron out the kinks and put work into this. They could turn this into a gem.
