I have 3000+ hours in it. Yes, it's buggy, unbalanced, lacking, obsolete etc. and I didn't even like it first. But, after I got used to the huge differences with FO3, experienced the world, the characters, the stories it grew to be the best of all Fallouts for me. Much more immersive when played at survival difficulty. You can add a lot of extra flavor and/or change most of the parts you don't like with the numerous free mods.
