I wasn't sure how a puzzle game without object puzzles would go but consider me converted! It was really refreshing playing a game where you don't feel like you need to randomly click on everything but instead have to think more logically about what people are saying and how objects fit into the scenario. I have read there are some major roadblocks if you do the wrong thing but this wasn't my experience, I solved all of the cases correctly and felt really satisfied by the logic found in the games puzzle system. Awesome game and I really hope they make a sequel.
We have been asking for this game for years and it is finally here on GOG. This was hands down my most played point and click adventure as a child, even more so than DoTT and Sam and Max. The art style, voice acting, puzzles and story are all perfect. I am glad that my daughter will now be able to experience all these classics as she grows up.
This game is a gem amongst mediocrity. Fans of Gothic have been waiting for over a decade for PB to return to their roots and they finally have with Elex. The world is brutal and you will spend your first 10 hours running away from creatures. The characters you meet are interesting and the world is beautiful to explore. You can tell PB have really thought about what made Gothic such a wonderful game and applied the same principles to Elex. I do wish they would work on their combat system, as Elex is more like Gothic 3 than 1 and the new stamina system is woeful. You should not buy this game if you're expecting something in the vain of Skyrim, Fallout or the Witcher. This game is very much a spiritual successor to Gothic and should be treated as such.
This is not a complete game and the price tag should be reflective of that. In terms of optimization I'd say it's similar where Subnautica is at with how it runs. If this was a $15 title I'd recommend it but at the moment you should stay away.
