As the title says, I bought this because I'm a WoT fan, not a FPS fan. I probably shouldn't even review it, but decided I would in case anyone else is in the same situation. I quickly grew bored with the game, but decided to muddle through it using cheat codes so I could see the story. Unfortunately, the cutscenes wouldn't play for me. I suppose I could have puzzled out a fix to allow them to work in-game, but instead I just opened up the Movies folder in the game directory and watched them all. They total about an hour and are like a watching a WoT cartoon, with all the inherent overacting in that genre (lots of villainous laughing). For the heavily discounted price I got this for, I was satisfied. But if you're looking for a good FPS game, my opinion is irrelevant and you should ignore this review.
I am halfway through this game and really enjoying it. It is simple to learn (you can dive right in with no tutorial and no manual) and fun to play. Combat is challenging more from a strategic sense than tactical; you will either take enough of, and the right kind of, units into battle to win, or you won't. GOG please add the Valkyrie expansion for this game.
I've been waiting a long time for GOG to have a decent car racing game, and now it finally does. The driving is arcade-style, not realistic, but very fun.
