Magnificent. This is a masterpiece in game world. It was gorgeously done. The art and soundtrack is really beautiful and the gameplay is funny. I wish it was longer.
-- Since GOG won't accept more the 2000 characters, you can check my full review on my blog if you want. https://analisedasobras.blogspot.com/2019/10/slipstream-english-review.html Here is a brief summary -- Despite its retro style, this is one of the most fun modern racing games I've ever played. It is one of those that are born classic. It was heavily inspired by Outrun, but it doesn't feel like you are playing Outrun or a direct sequel. It feels more like a game made in the 90's for Sega CD or one of those classics EA games made for Mega Drive. Both gameplay and artistic's choises feels like reminiscent of a bunch of games made by Sega, or at least made for Sega's consoles. I could feel also elements borrowed from Road Rash, Crazy Taxi, California Games and the list goes on. I think that the driftings should have reminded me NFS: Underground or any other game, but it actually reminded me Speed Racer a lot (both the Wachoswki siblins film and its game adaptation), some tracks you just run sideways. It is like this: imagine if the Hollywood phisics were right. And as I love both Speed Racer film and game I was glad to feel this feeling. I also felt some nostalgic feeling of playing Atari's Enduro, I don't know why, pure nostalgia.
I love Dear Esther since the first time I played. The game is perfect. Period. The game itself is a master piece. For a lot time I started to think that games are more than a "theme park", more than an obvious entertainment full of trite action. "Dear Esther" is one of that games that proved I am right. It is a imersive and poetic narrative. The mood is dark and sad. It could be a horror game, but it is not. It is more like an psychological narrative blended with ghost story elements. The soundtrack is perfect: it sets the mood perfectly and it tells the story when there is no narration. This remake improved the graffics and the soundtrack, there are some new narrative lines that weren't in the original game and the same voice actor from the original redoes his job and he does it perfectly. At least, it has some commentaries from the director and the composer that during the gameplay adds a lot the narrative and background knowledge about how the game was done. However there are a couple of things in this remake that I, personally, think that are flawed. * The caption are kind of problematic: the font is bigger than the original, I think they did this to make it easier to read, but sometimes the caption moves too quickly, so if miss a word and need to read the sentence again your're f*cked. * It p1sses me off that this remake hasn't any goodies. You may claim that goodies aren't that important, but since the original game had the ost as dlc, I expected that we could at least have the ost in this one too. * IIRC the original game supported VR better than this one,
A its core, this game is a beautiful casual puzzle adventure game. Good soundtrack, good art, easy puzzles, nice story. It has everything that a casual gamer would like in a game. However... It is incomplete. That's it. Moreover: it is too damn expensive for a unfinished game. Do you want to play a game that wasn't finished? Do you want to end a game in a confusing cliffhanger that does not finishes the story? So this game is for you. Speaking for myself: this game pissed me off.
Honestly... I don't know why people go crazy about this game. For real: it is just a H-game made by a western company. It blends visual novel with match-3 games. * The story is dull. The dialogue is also dull. * The soundtrack is just elevator music * The voice acting sounds like bad English dubbing. Do you know those anime dubbed in English? Do you remember how they sound bad? The dubbing in this game sounds exactly like those bad dubbed animes. * The drawings are just the standard, there is nothing that stands out. * There is a option to play both as a male or female character, but this does nothing to the story, the gameplay or the visuals (since your character never shows up). * The date-sim aspect gets too repetitive. * And the ending. The Ending is just a filler. The game was originally without ending. You know that kind of game you play for hours and thats it. It has no ending? Well this was this kind of game, then people complained about it and they released the ending just to garantee they wouldn't get poor reviews. You can think about HuniePop in two ways: 1. It is a poor hentai date-sim with some match-3 stuff in it 2. It is a almost fun match-3 with a lot of FAN-SERVICE Do you really wanna play HunniePop-ish games? Just go to newgrounds and you'll find a bunch of them for free.

The title of this review says everything: it is a zombie apocalypse platform game set in the 80's an heavily inspired by the Prince of Persia Classic. It develops the genre the same Assassin's Creed Chronicles does. The puzzles are pretty easy and the controls sometimes are kinda unresponsive (maybe the issue is my computer, why not?). However the atmosphere, the soundtrack, the story are really great. The characters are well developed, so we care about them. I did not like so much the voice actor that Tequila Works choose for the main character. The actor is realy great, but I don't think his voice matches the character, since his voice is so dark and guttural that evokesperfectly an anti hero retired soldier, but the character is actually just a common guy who used to work as a ranger. There are people complaining the game is too short. I don't think I can agree. It is not that long, but if it was so longer than it was, it might get tedious. I think its lenght is just fine.
