I remember the time I've got my hands on Divine Divinity (multiple CD's, can't remember how many) - that one got me hooked for RPG's for life. Since then I've been looking for similar experience. Yes - there were some good titles from Bethesda, Troika games and, and Larian (Divinity OS 1 Enhanced Edition is worth a look too). But Divine Divinity Original Sin 2 has rekindled those warm feelings I had for old Divine Divinity. New OS2 has beautiful graphics. Music you can listen for hours and not notice repetition. Some good level design. Character customizations are almost endless - Right now I'm playing tanky class for my main character. Already planing other builds for next playthroughs (that says something). Dialogs are fine - I love they kept it in Divine Divinity vain, not trying to be too serious or grim, have some tongue in cheek humour and easter eggs. I have'nt finished first island yet - I'm trying to be thorough and finish all quests I can, but there are some which I have failed or could not start due to my choices. I thought I'm not a big fan of turn based combat, but here it's done right - fights are not too drawn out, but have tactical depth harder to achieve in real time combat. Character leveling is impactful, you wait for those points to be spent and every level-up has visible effect. Finaly - it feels prepared for PC, not as an afterthought. Performance is good, I've got Ultra settings on my GTX 1060 3Gb, it hardly ever goes below 60 Fps cap I've set. It seems smooth, nothing gets in the way of gaming. Larian has pulled the trick - again. Once - may be a fluke, but twice or three times - that's talent in art and management. I feel glad to pay money for this product, the value you get in return is worth much more.
