Cyberpunk 2077

Not what we were told or promised...

So, I watched every night city wire leading up to the game... I watched all the official release stuff... They lied to me and all of you pretty hard and I can't really forgive that. I can forgive a bad game coming out, but this? This is a joke after 7-8 years. Compared to a game like GTAV or RDR2 which took similar times to produce this game is a shallow joke. You can choose your life path, but as everyone has mentioned, that basically means you have some impactless comment you can bring up in convo and that's literally it. Night City Wire... OK, so they interviewed them on the guns... but the guns feel almost the same. There's multiple shotguns and they all do the same thing slightly stagger the opponent and do whatever the RPG dice roll x stat level damage to them and feel the same. You get smart guns and then an entire gang just jams it. This part is not terrible because it's an RPG shooter, you expect a borderlands gun feel to it... But there's no strategy to the gunfights because of it and less mobility than you have in borderlands to compensate. It's just hide behind cover and shoot them in the head 42 times. NCW 2, they interview and talk about the gangs and how they're all unique and interact with the player differently... But no, in fact if it wasn't for the different skins they have you wouldn't know who you're fighting at all. There's some interaction with the main storyline but your choices and actions have entirely NO impact on the gangs or the locations at all. All the nonmain story missions are handed out with a very soulless phone call system where it's not a conversation even, just a "There's a guy in there that I want you to save, detes in your text messages". Try to sneak in... I dare you. Oh, no, because the stealth is garbage. Try to hack in, well, sometimes you can but it doesn't get you anywhere without still stealthing and fighting people. You save yourself one door worth of sidestepping. This game is not what we were sold.
