I'm not going to write about the game itself, there already are some very good posts. But you should go http://www.spellholdstudios.net/ie/pst-qtweaks and download at least "Ghostdog's PS:T UI Mod" (dont forget installing widescreen mod first). With this you can play PST with any resolusion you could possibly think of :). And trust me PST in 1680x1050 with bigger fonts is better than when it was brand new.
I'm not going to repeat how great the game is, but I have little tip to make it even better. If you have BGII (I'm waiting GOG) you could use easytutu (http://usoutpost31.com/easytutu/) or bg1tutu to play BG1 in its engine. You get bigger resolution and you could use new spells (and new classes,new races....), it feels lot better. :)
