Worms W.M.D

Old skool worms is back!

This game really feels like a modern Worms game and definitely has the potential to be Armageddon's successor. The (optional) vehicles, stationary guns, buildings are great new additions. The classic weapons can be enhanced with crafting - which I haven't done much yet, I must admin, but it sure seems like another classic addition. As if that's not enough, the graphics look very good and the game runs very smoothly. Oh, and you can compare your worm blasting skills with others on the leader boards too. Team17 has said they want to keep updating this game to make it the definitive Worms version. There's also still plenty to do; the basics are great, but: - Nobody seems to be online on GOG (requires Galaxy too, so it seems). So I haven't been able to play a single online match yet. This should've been a great example of a "crossplay" enabled game as advertised on the GOG Galaxy page (https://www.gog.com/galaxy#glx-in-game), but alas it's not. - No LAN option, hot-seat only - No PNG map editor like the Steam version - No Linux build, unlike Steam. Maybe because there's no Galaxy for Linux yet either? - Not all classic (especially national) speech banks are in there. Not something I personally miss a lot, but some customization options would be nice (so we can import those classic voices to the new game ourselves, if necessary). Let's hope Team17 does as promised and will deliver new features with updates soon. That'd make this a 5/5 game.
