The low number of stars for this story is because it's being represented as a Visual Novel. It isn't. The correct term is "Kinetic Novel." A kinetic novel (KN) uses the same layout and often the same software as Visual novels, but the story is a single, linear path, not a branching storyline where you make choices. There's nothing wrong with that - after all when you sit and watch a movie, you understand that you can't alter the plot. The visuals are well drawn, and the music is cheerful and inoffensive. Unfortunately I don't like any of the characters, and lacking choices, experiencing (I wouldn't say "playing") this story feels like being trapped in office hell. I've only made it an hour into this story, so perhaps there may be a choice further down the line. If so, let me know and I'll amend this review. But for now, I cannot recommend this, even heavily discounted.
