I played this when I was eleven years old. It was one of the first video games I ever beat. This version is just as fun, even if it doesn't have Lorenzen's Soil.
Look, this is a game about Europeans landing in a new world where 3/4s of the time the best strategy is to eliminate the cartoonish natives and although sugar and tabacco economies can be built, there's not a word of African slavery. The only people who'd have their kids play this for Social Studies class are MAGAts. But if you're an adult, and you're fully aware that this history is whitewashed to darkly hilarious extremes, this is a fun and absorbing economics simulator that culminates in a war of independence.
