I have not reviewed a game here before. I will make this my first. Spec Ops: The Line is life-changingly good. Do not pay attention to anything written by any of us. Just buy this game and play it. If you are at all an intelligent person who can immerse yourself in a narrative while enjoying solid level design and a decent FPS challenge that knows what it truly means to show not tell a story, then stop reading here, shut down any preconceived notions and play this the way it was intended with as little preemptive knowledge as possible. Nothing said here will do anything but affect your experience, so I won't even try to review it like a normal review. This is the only game in my life where I finished it after originally getting it for $5 on a Steam sale way back and with complete sincerity I wanted to find out if there was a way I could pay the developers directly the rest of the money they deserved for creating this game. I was ashamed I experienced this for $5.
