Has a decent combat engine, built around alternating punches and kicks, but little enemy variety to support it. Most of the gameplay involves exploration and finding keys to progress, but it's still ultimately linear. Has way too much talking for a brawler. There's a lot of platforming and avoiding traps, as well. The graphics are pretty good, especially the character sprites, but the backgrounds are rather bland and forgettable. Music is general isn't great, but the battle theme is indeed super catchy. I'd recommend it if it were $5 but $10 is probably a bit much for such a short and mediocre game. Would highly recommend the GBA version because the portability makes up for its shortcomings.
