This is the direct successor to Transport Tycoon, and I'd say this game doesn't quite live up to that, but it still absolutely worth a play. Improvements over Transport Tycoon: You can build diagonally. The camera rotates in 4 directions. Extremely detailed maps. Gorgeous pre-rendered graphics, some of the best of it's time. Satisfying scenario play, this is the main draw of the game for me. Parts that are worse than Transport Tycoon: Vehicle AI is frustratingly bad, often completely misinterpreting your orders. The order system has been hugely simplified, making some setups not work properly. (Try delivering grapes without your train picking up the wine it creates) Limited vehicle selection, especially in America Competitors somehow have WORSE AI than Transport Tycoon, which is insane considering how terrible it was in TTD. In general, almost every aspect of the game is simplified, to a detriment. However, the game is still fun and despite frustrations with the order system, it is still a Chris Sawyer game, which are deeply satisfying.
