great game 10/10 phenominal better than hard drugs
this is an amazing game, but it is very differant from other rts games so you have to get used to it. only things i would change about are to make it less complex to get supplies, and add a peace mode where you focus on economy and diplomacy and whatnot, and only use a military to defend agianst barbarians and people you declare war on (like civ v)
tgis game is a great game for its time and still holds up as a fairly good game today. there is a nice variety of units and spells (although the units have the same stats for either side which makes the game mostly about making a big army and making it the fastest). micro is very easy and the tech tree is fairly simple. i only have 2 complaints: 1. the ai is sometimes really terrible and sometimes very hard 2.the graphics are absolutly terrible so it makes the game significantly less fun overall i had a great time playing the game, and think it is slightly overpriced.
Please note that i have never played this game outside of gog. The game is very well balanced, with lots of fairly diverse civilizations and tons of unit types. the graphics are fairly enjoyable, but not good by modern standards. It is easy to play and learn and very enjoyable (although i do not believe that multiplayer still works, but i am not sure). The civilizations for the first three ages are the most diverse in their unit types and stats, and in the last 2 they are less so. I also want to point out that all the civilizations have the same unit types with differant stats and costs, but there is some exeptions to this. The only other problem i have with the game is that the voices of the units sometimes change. Overall i think the game is very well done and well worth the price.
I have lots of fun with this game and think it is a great deal for its price but i do have a few complaints. First of all, artillery units ammo moves very slowly (exept for the gunguns artillery) and makes them very inaffective. Secondly, the different factions units have no differance, the only thing seperating the factions is the look of the units and each have 1 unit of thier own. Despite these complaints,i enjoyed the game, but advise that yohu should only get it if you are willing to give it a significant amount of effort, because it is quite complicated compared to some other rts games like starcraft.
i got this game and was very exited and did not mind the fact that there was no right click action,but it is way to hard because of how it automaticly gives the enemy way more units and buildings than the player beggining game. i also tried to use warcraft mouse helper but it did not work
