The very first computer game I ever bought was Quest for Glory III. I remember Dad taking me to, I think, Best Buy and looking through the games and picking that one out because of the cool cover art. Honestly, the game itself was kinda short (nowadays I can beat it in probably <4 hours) and the thief character class is severely limited, but it's still a classic. We took it home and it took FOREVER to install because it was on 5 floppy disks (I think QFG IV actually had 9 plus the patch) but once we started playing I was hooked. There's suspense, thrills, adventure, talk about diversity, Sanford and Son. So many great memories. And then we bought QFG IV which is a much better game, and QFG V which is better still. Any small issues I have with QFG III now that I'm older are not present in QFG IV and QFG V which are damn near perfect games. But I'll never be able to recreate the feeling of playing through QFG III for the first time on that old PC. We had to make a boot disk to play it, lol. Thank you Sierra for such an incredible series of games. I swear that if I ever get some time I am going to try to make an iPad version of this game.
