BG3 is an impressive game from a technical standpoint. but it misses the mark as an RPG, especially one set in the Forgotten Realms universe. Lack of world-building and improper tone are two big issues. A full critique would be longer than this comment box allows. Suffice it to say, I found Neverwinter Online more immersive, and that's a combat-centric MMO with basically no RPG elements.
