I've haven't played long, primarily because I can't get the damn ships to move! Feel like I've set up 'trade routes' correctly, but the ships simply won't budge. I'll keep trying for awhile.
I've enjoyed this game a great deal, being a Civil War buff. The mechanics of playing the game are pretty easy. My only complaint would be that the AI doesn't vary it's attack/defense strategy much. It pretty much sticks to the historical record at the outset of a battle, but does make minor adjustments in strategy once battle is joined.
