This is a fantastic game that was develop by some of the people that made Diablo so there are some game play elements people will find familiar. I would gladly recommend this to anyone. The game tried to be different in a couple of areas such as allowing you to switch to any character you like rather than playing one character at a time. You do not need to use them all, as I remembered. The ending leaves it open for a sequel, however the game didn't do too well. Had it come out today with a bit of polish, the story would be different. I bought this game when it was release on CD many years ago. Never regretted it. Don't get scared like the rest of the reviewers with controlling more than one people. The AI is pretty good once you understand how formation works. Trust me, the AI is a lot smarter that those in Dragon Age, Pillars of Eternity, and most multi-character control RPGs. I controlled the mage and easily wipe out my enemies in no time. The other characters are just there to take dmg. Healing really isn't a big deal like the other reviewers mentioned, since I kill most before my guys actually take significant dmg. Just like any other game, read how formation works and where best to put each character before you complain about it. For the price, I would recommend you give it a chance. I bought the digital version to support GOG, it's too bad the original developer won't be seeing it or making any other games. I truly hope they come back with a kick-starter or something.
