Technical: After the second round of updates, NMS became more playable. My Windows 10 / GTX980 provide a solid 60+ FPS. Gameplay: It's *beautiful*. Light and colour use and effects are unrelentingly flamboyant, and the worlds you'll find are stunning. I've been playing for many hours, and I'm still too scared to travel too deep into the oceans in case I meet a big predator. I've made mistakes when diving where I've not brought enough materials to recharge my breathing kit, and the fear of drowning in a dimly lit underwater cave is all too palpable. The story is revealed slowly, and in small snippets. I think it's nice. You're really free to do what you like; you can spend your entire time on a single planet, if you so choose. Some elements could be improved. Some find the game elements shallow and frustrating; I can understand this. But for me - well, I'm still playing it after a few weeks, albeit a little less often now. I do think the price is too high. Overall: This isn't a five star game. It's a 3- or 4- star game. The beauty of the worlds raises it, in my view, to 4 stars :-)
