What else to say? N o other game really nailed it like Bridge Commander. While I loved Academy and Command games, this one just really knocked it out of the park. Been playing since I bought it on disc on release. Wish they'd do it again one day with a new story line and characters.
There were dozens of great games in this genre back around the late 90s and early 2000s, but Tachyon is the Top Gun of them all. Beats out every other starfighter game in mechanics, game play, and storyline (that includes any of the big name franchise titles as well). If you like space games centered on fighter combat, you'll love Tachyon:The Fringe.
