Torchlight

Torchlight 1: a true classic

More refined than FATE, simpler and less grim than Diablo, oddly superior to Torchlight 2 or 3. It's a great mental break: just slide into the world, adventure a little, teleport back to town, enjoy comparing loot, then come back tomorrow, or next week.

Fallout: London

"7 unique settlements" - all bugged.

Fallout 4 without settlement building isn't FO4. And the settlements here are glitched. Settlers unassigning themselves. settler jobs resulting in zero output, suicidal settlers, happiness dropping because the settlers keep unassigning themselves to the happiness-producing tasks, settlements randomly unaligning themselves with the player - the list goes on. The dialogue and companions are quite good, the enironment is well done, and the quests fit the narrative. But I get stuck on random terrain, water is near-instantly fatal, the game crashes to desktop hourly, game mechanics are left unexplained... Maybe one day I'll replay it just for the quests, but in its current state, it's an overly-ambitious mod that looks good and plays well - until it doesn't. The fate of too, too many enormous mod projects.
