The Last Stand: Aftermath

Great Rouge like survival horror

I like this game a lot. It is very enjoiable if you like the rouge like genre + Survival horror genres. It shares the spririt of the previous games in the series, but haves some nice, more modern top down isometric mechanics. I use mouse and keyboard and found it easy to use even though they reccomend using a controller. A part of me wants to give it a higher rating, but there are some minor bugs, and kinks throughout a playthrough. There are a lot of smaller mechanics that make it feel just a bit bloated, for example, why does the engien of the car break down, if there is no cost to reparing it? Why can I unlock a multitude of classes, when the only influence is what starting items the character has (and only select 3 random picked from the entire pool of classes when starting a new run) You also unlock an arsenal and have options to buy starting items which kind of makes the classes a bit obsolete. Other than that, I like the progression of the game, and the panic I suffer, when I go into an new unexplored area unprepared. I will definately reccoment it to friends who enjoy either Roug like or survival horror genres.

Resident Evil 3

Great game

I was too afraid to play this as a kid. I'm so happy I finally get to complete this gem as an adult. Still a bit terrifyingt though. It might be my nostalgia, but think the graphics and controls hold up pretty well in a modern era.
