This is a great series for HOMMIII- especially if you've never played these games before. You can really enjoy the story telling and the game mechanics as a novice. For more seasoned players of the series (like myself) you can ramp the difficulty up to 11 and enjoy. Either way, if you're a fan of "Heroes", you should add this to your library.
This is the kind of expansion/mod that HOMMIII has needed for years. It breathes new life into the game. Very glad to have it here on GOG.com.
I didn't play D&D or other paper based RPGs growing up, so I imagine this was what it was like in a lot of way. Solid game, lots of options, really fun.
I've been playing this game since 1998, it never gets old. If you like turn based strategy and high re-playability, get this game. And get it on GOG for sure!
