(Copied and pasted from Steam review) Negatives. I didn't remember the game being as short as it turned out to be. I remember spending many hours/days playing when I was 10 or so, saying that I did spend half the time running round testing every wall for secrets... Erm.. I don't like the electric bolts on the crossbow still. Oh yeah. Why didn't it have multiplayer when I was young? We had 3 PCs linked up to play (among others) Doom1/2, and Heretic (Buy it. Crossbow chickens.), this would have been an amazing addition to our Son Vs Son Vs Dad massacre sessions. Pros. Awesome storyline. Sexy, wisecracking, and foulmouthed (She is NAUGHTY! Words your mother would love to hear from a computer game) helper, adding to the complete audio for all important NPCs. (I think I know why my dad remembers it now) Great graphics for a retro game. The music is funky. Flawless gameplay. I've had some issues with remakes of older games, but Strife was perfect at all times. (Even with what seemed like a million guards going crazy at once!) Sidequests, inventory management and the option to try and avoid murdering NPCs all add to the games overall quality. It still lasts a lot longer than Gears of War. Bloodbath difficulty is not for girls. And if attempted, for gods sake don't do the chalice quest. That's 10 minutes of terror right there! Difficult to rate the game, as the nostalgia value alone would make it 11/10. I'll just say, for £7, you really can't go wrong. And not buying it would mean you'd be letting Blackbird down, and you really don't want to do that, right? Addendum for GoG - It's now on for $2.49. Seriously, buy it right now! Move your mouse to the top right and 'Add to Cart'. If you regret it, I'll pay for the game for you. It's that d!$% good.
