Let’s make this clear. Yes, the emulator packages in this release is garbage. Yes, GOG should probably have higher standards then this. What the pirates in the comments are missing is quite simple. This game is just an emulator and rom bundled together in a file. If you prodded at the game for five seconds you would realize you could just copy the rom out of the file and into a better emulator.
