I like the idea of this game a lot. You role-play as a middle-class townsperson in Europe in the 15th and 16th centuries. The designers obviously put a attention into the details. There is a good and balanced system behind the mechanics of the game. That good and balanced system could have made for a really fun and engaging game. Maybe, if someone had made a UI that sucked less, it could have. That's not what happened here. Someone decided it was necessary to represent everything using 3D models where you click on the thing you want. Except the thing you want often isn't even on-screen, so you need to scroll. And it has a crappy, flashy, "look at the camera move! it's really 3D" animation whenever you scroll. So you spend a lot of time scrolling and clicking on things. Meanwhile, the game clock is ticking and stuff is happening in the background that you might need to react to.
