Thank you, GOG, for bringing Breath of Fire IV to the platform! It’s an absolute joy to see another epic classic officially available, preserving its magic for both longtime fans and new players alike. I truly hope this is just the beginning — that the partnership with CAPCOM (and hopefully other publishers) continues to grow, bringing even more legendary titles to the collection. GOG has been doing an incredible job at giving these timeless games the treatment they deserve, and as a fan of gaming history, I couldn’t be more grateful. Here’s to an even greater library of classics in the future!
I bought all three Earthworm Jim games on GOG in one go, and it wasn't just nostalgia that dragged me back to the glory days of my old SNES. Sure, nostalgia played its part - who doesn't remember the heart-pounding mission to save those adorable puppies? But the real reason was knowing that Doug TenNapel, the brilliant mind behind this series, is one of the few game creators who hasn't succumbed to the ridiculous role of supporting the Woke scene. In my childhood, playing Earthworm Jim on the SNES was almost a heroic act; it felt like you needed to sell a kidney to get an original game in Brazil. But what fun it was! The first game gave me hours of laughter and frustration, while the second kept up the level of insanity and creativity, proving that the formula of chaos worked well. As for the 3D game, I know it didn't have the same impact, but I'm eager to finally give it a try. To wrap up, what I admire most is Doug TenNapel's authenticity. In an industry where many bend with the winds of fashion, he remains a legend, true to his style and vision, reminding us that games can be both art and fun without needing modern labels. Thanks, Doug, for keeping the spirit of Earthworm Jim as alive as those adorable puppies we all strived to save.
Blood is one of those games that really stands through the test of time. For starters, this game was even the reason for me to join GoG, in the first place (and it's was a good thing 'cause it introduced me to a world of incredible games that I would eventually add to my library). Even the old version remais very playable today, but Fresh Supply surpaces the boundaries and makes this awesome title even more reachable to players that have some difficulty in embracing old technology. Back to the game, everything that made it great in it's original release is still here: Lots of blood (as the title already sugests), cheesy and clever lines, inventive and overpowered weapons, lots of action, secrets, easter eggs and gruesome enemies. Do yourself a favor and grab this game. You won't regret it. Blood lives... again!
