An absolutely beautiful game with a great story that really makes you feel like a starship captain. This can be felt in the satisfying management of sub-systems and crew, and the options for automated or manual control. Despite the dated facial animations, the voiceovers are cool, especially by some of the TNG cast. And the animation of the ships is still gorgeous, to the point where you can just sit and watch them float through space in flyby mode. Love this game so much, and really glad GOG decided to "Make it so!"
