Ive seen some older reviews mad at bugs etc so I wanted to say that most of these seem to have been fixed. Not one crash for me so far with about 100 hours played (unfinished). Only bug i noticed was sometimes my pet walks backwards. Patch 1.3.7 Graphics: 4/5 Sound Design: 5/5 Soundtrack: 5/5 Class Design: 5/5 Plot: 3.5/5 Difficulty Customization: 5/5 U/I: 5/5 Story: An average story told in an above average manner. Companion side quests: some of the best ive ever played in the genre. several characters I didnt like at first but they grew on me. Itemization variety: huge. tons of fun weird items to change builds Conclusion: I found this to be the best single player CRPG in the last 10 years. I fully respect disagreement here, as everyone will have different tastes. 4/5
I will keep this short. I saw some mixed reviews and mentions of bugs, but i tried the game anyway and it was totally worth my money. If you like singleplayer Adventure RPGs it's a must-buy-on-sale. Atmosphere: Excellent Sound Design: Good Voice Acting: Great to Average Combat: Average* Exploration: Excellent * Combat isn't terrible like some say, and it isn't polished either. But it gets the job done and you learn the system. I found fights very fun. World feels dangerous. Main Protagonist is boring in a good way (think Sheperd from Mass Effect) but would be better if it had no voice actor.
