If you've ever wanted to larp as a bandit, mercenary, knight, lord, WHATEVER, this game is so goated in that regard. GET IT NOOOOOOOW
If you're getting this game, PLEASE get the players patch. It fixes most of the errors and bugs that come with this game and makes stuff like formations actually a thing. This is mainly for homeworld one players but the point still stands. That aside, this game fucking rules.
