Here are my long-overdue credits to this game. Totally worth it. It's a kind of good mixing of storytelling, HoMM-series caribbeaning/base managing and collectible card gaming (as it's combat aspect). All of this seems a strange combo and by no way guarantees quality, but CDPR did make a splendid product. What I definitely love about this game: - artisitc style - locations - music (and overall audio component, inculding sublime voice acting) - narrative story. The game world is quite picturesque with each region given a unique look and atmosphere through visual means (like, color pallete) and musical themes. That is why ordinary travels across the maps - among war's desolation and ruin or thrilling swampland horrors, to say but a few - as well as crucial plot moments are able to invoke strong emotions, leaving a memorable trace in one's gaming experience. Btw, the fans of the book series and original Witcher RPG series shouldn't be worry - the spirit is there! Of course, if one doesn't like the CCG-types of combat or the way the narration is presented (or they have some other unfathomable reasons), then this game is probably not for them, although I'd give it a try anyway ;) There is a couple of things I'd change, however. First one being the number of strange puzzles reduced slightly and more quests added in their stead. By "strange puzzles" I mean some puzzle-like battles which seem to be out-of-sync with in-game events - funny (or crazy) cow battles etc. The second change is straightforward - just add more campaigns! :D I really hope the sales are high enough for CDPR to consider development of new campaings or maybe a sequel for Thronebreaker. PS And don't forget to look into Extras sections - some goodies there, including OST!
Quite simple diabloid with a bit awkward controls and shallow plot. Nice picture though. Various distinctive level sets and enemies are pros. Very monotone gameplay is somewhat mitigated by 3 different classes with their own builds and playstyles.
