Annoying, frustrating adventure game. Do not recommend. You will die, over and over, no matter what you do. This game has aged terribly.

This game holds up pretty well after 30 years, mostly because the puzzles are pretty standard/classic (word games, chess puzzles, mazes, etc), and the spooky atmosphere is fun.

Just beat this game (regular babe) after about 15 hours. While the game certainly has its frustrating moments, and there were times I was tempted to give up, I was always compelled to give it another try. And I'm glad I did, because I found out that the game actually handles the learning curve well. The game never actually felt unfair. If you fall more than a few screens, it's because you screwed up several key jumps in a row, which happens less and less as you play the game and get better. Not only that, but as you continue playing the game, the falls get less punishing just because you get better at recovering from them and getting back to where you were. You know that if you made it to a screen before, you can always make it back. And every time you DO make any kind of progress, it feels incredibly rewarding. Highly recommended as long as you have a bit of patience.
