Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear

Excellent addition to the BG universe

This game, you'll notice, has a ridiculously low scoring, because some angry people made up fake reasons to give it a low rating. The "controversy" that has them up in arms, is a minor NPC who is transgender. That's it. It's not "pushed down your throat": it literally only comes up if you ask her about her name. Back to the game itself. The game runs smoothly - no bugs/crashes/problems that the 1-star reviewers experienced. I thought it looked great, same as the original, but more polished. Lots of small improvements (locations of important NPS indicated on map, movement of group better (i.e. if your thief unlocks something, you don't have to move them out of the way to get to the chest, etc.), party members now capable of having a romantic relationship with the main character, more chatting between party members while walking. All small things, but it adds up. Advice: save often. The game doesn't hold your hand much and you might find that areas you still wanted to visit are suddenly inaccessible after certain milestones have been reached. Large selection of possible party members, for those interested in replayability. Music and sound acting are both great. I was pleased to see the original BG portraits used, rather than the abominations that are the BG2 portraits. Imoen's is slightly updated, but she's obviously still BG1 Imoen.
