The Imperial Gatekeeper

Buyer Beware

First, this is a poor imitation of 'Papers, Please'. If you prefer the idea of that game with a anime style graphic swap then this can work. However, if you're looking for adult content or plan on playing the game without the 18+ DLC be cautious. Without the 18+ DLC much of the graphics and even some of the game-play becomes unpolished. Stacked/missing text, overlapping images, and missing NECESSARY mechanics are but some of the problems. At one point, you're supposed to be on the lookout for weapons, but without the ability to turn people around or pat them down, you can not find their weapons. The Metal Detector can tell you something is there, but the best you can do is turn people away without giving a reason, resulting in a score penalty. As for adult content, even with the 18+ DLC and a re-upload/install of the game, I can't use any of the 18+ mechanics. They appear on the screen but can not be pressed. Maybe the game expects me to completely restart the game from scratch, but after 4 hours of tedious gameplay, I don't really feel up to it. Maybe others have had better luck playing Gatekeeper, but I'd suggest not trying this sub-par game.
