Cyberpunk 2077

Cyberpunk tabletop players rejoice

First of all, it's awesome that game is available on GeForce NOW through GOG. That way I can play on my Mac mini from 2012 perfectly fine with RTX enabled and graphics are a blast on ultra. I'm going to skip driving, shooting, loot and all of that typical FPS-related fluff. Those systems are fine, above average even I'd say but as a fan of roleplaying games I simply don't care much about them. Perhaps quickhacking could be done more in a style of Watch Dogs bit hey, at least the minigame for breach is less annoying that Legion's circuit connecting puzzle. I care about characters: and while models, the graphics and what they wear, are all cool, I think biggest clap should go to voice actors and then to people who thought about small gestures, AND THERE ARE SO MANY OF THEM, even the damn guy frying rice on a pan when talking to Jackie has some specific rice-frying problems and reacts amazingly alive to it. I haven't seen it before done it on such a big scale. I also like to close my eyes sometimes, just focus on voices. Nicely done. Second is the setting: Cyberpunk. Not much too say about it, I've been waiting for a solid, vast game set in this world for a while (Deus Exes and Shadowruns didn't cut it for me, Cyberpunk has always being my number #1 dystopian setting) and everyone who played tsbletp version knows why it's awesome already. But the story (I've played only ~10h for now but it includes a lot of side quests and sightseeing) and maybe not the mini quests but rather those in the middle, medium-sized chunks tangled together with Cyberpunk lore: that's the real meat to me. Good fluff. Had some glitches like people being out in "scared mode" when nothing was happening, run into problem with missing objective after leaving Vik (solved by re-loading the game) and some really rando spawns of enemies multiple times but as I said at the beginning of the review: I don't much care about the "enemy fighting" part, would happily see this game as a storytelling only.
