I loved this game back in the day, but I cannot get it to work reliably either with or without the famous unoffiical arcanum patch. Without the patch the game seems to run fine, but it crashes after approximately 30 minutes. This can happen while shopping, looting bodies, etc. Basically ruins the game. WITH the pathch it is even worse. The game screen constantly flickers on and off and then eventually just crashes before making any progress at all. I hate to give this game one star but in its current form it is not playable so I cannot recommend it to anybody.
