LOOM is a game about MUSIC, but this VGA-Version of the game SUCKS. The VGA version cut down on the music (a shame in a game that revolves around music). Yes, there is a new CD-audio track, but still a lot of music got cut. The VGA- graphics are somewaht INFERIOR to the EGA ones (Portraits are cut and a lot of atmosphre is lost). If you want to see what i mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bRJD0OrGulU LOOM was one of the last great EGA adventure games, so it is sad, that a site like GOG, that tries to keep good old games alive, wont include the ORIGINAL EGA version (far superior in every way).
I did like Valkyrie Chronicles and its gamplay, it was quite unique. Now there is another game with similar gameplay: Mordheim! Good atmosphere and great ingame tactics. The peresentation of the story is rather weak, but the gameplay is very engaging. Tis game is not an easy one but it feels grest to overcome its difficulties (like in dark souls, but this is turn base strategy of course). Love the fact that units can be mutilated and you have to live with the consequences.
I cant use my mouse and keyborad. I am not the only one with this problem. The mousebuttons work, everything else not (mouse+keyboard) ABSOLUTLY UNPALYABLE. Can play with controler, but this is supposed to be a reto experience, so i really want to use mouse and keyboard. The developer seems to be unable to resolve this issue for quite some time now.
