A brilliant classic from the golden age of adventure gaming, this is a rich game with a well written story - one of Sierra's best point and click titles. You take the role of Robin Hood, legendary outlaw of Sherwood Forest, but with some twists that add depth and richness to the familiar tale. Take on the role of Robin as you avoid the Sheriff's men, wear disguises, woo the Lady Marian, and ultimately work to save King Richard the Lionheart. Has something for everyone - it's a standout title from the heyday of Sierra VGA SCI titles. One of my favourites, if not my actual favourite, outside the Quest for Glory series. Strongly recommended. Still yet to achieve a perfect score, but getting closer...
Arguably the greatest installment in a hugely popular series from yesteryear, Heroes III is the game that was a definitive turn based combat title, with its wildly popular 'hot seat' mode where multiple players can game on the same computer. With improved graphics, more factions, 'might' and 'magic' style heroes in each faction, and the addition of the Grail, this game pioneered a number of improvements over the previous title, Heroes II. The campaign mode is good, but much of the fun lies in single scenarios played in multiplayer. There were also some popular mods that breathed further life into the game. Strongly recommended - a classic I played with my father back in the day; now I play it with him and my own kids!
